Antique Church Pew in Tea, SD

This is part of an oak church pew that was removed from a church in Dell Rapids, SD that closed several years ago. I cleaned & stripped this bench, sanded it, repaired the damage and refinished it in a dark walnut stain, followed up with several coats of polyurethane finish. I have been told this bench is [removed phone] years old. The ends are not the original ends, but are copies of the original. They are made from oak that was reclaimed from various sources. They are also old and do have a few very minor cracks and other signs of age. You need to expect that in an antique that saw heavy church use. They match the seat perfectly! It's absolutely beautiful and very comfortable!This bench is solid wood ? no plywood.The bench is 38" long - enough to seat two people. There's plenty of room underneath for baskets to hold shoes and other accessories.
